Real Estate Salesperson (RES)

Basic Qualification

Minimum age: 21 years old

Citizenship: Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) with at least 10 years residency. If you're a foreigner, you'll need a Support Letter from a licensed real estate agency and pre-approval from the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) https://www.cea.gov.sg/.

Education: Minimum of 4 GCE 'O' Level passes or equivalent.

If you lack the 'O' Levels, you can take the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessment and achieve Level 5 or higher in all five components (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing, and Numeracy).

Estate Agent (EA)

This applies to the agency itself, not the individual salesperson. The agency must have a Key Executive Officer (KEO) who meets these requirements:

Minimum of 4 GCE 'O' Level passes or equivalent.

Passed the Real Estate Agency (REA) examination within the last 2 years, or possess an equivalent qualification.

Have at least 3 years of experience in estate agency work.

Be a sole proprietor, director, or partner of the estate agency.
